Chokai no Mori is a scenic spot that affords a panoramic view of the Shonai Plain, Mogami River, and Japan Sea. It is especially well known for being a beautiful location to watch the sunset, and is also a great place for a picnic.
Visitors are encouraged to try hiking along the walkway to view the fall foliage or go for a hike with a forest guide to hear about plants and animals.
