Sanno Club

Sanno Club was built in 1895 and was a famed high-class Japanese restaurant in Sakata for more than one hundred years. Now, the restaurant has been renovated into a tourist facility that displays many kinds of exhibits, such as items related to kitamae cargo ships in the Edo period, works of art by the famous Japanese doll maker, Jusaburo Tsujimura, and the famous hanging ornaments kasahuku (kasa means umbrella, huku means fortune).

You can experience making ornaments. (Reservation required)
